Sacrament meeting Fun

With two children, Sunday is not usually the most relaxing or peaceful of days. Today's church meeting was exceptionally 'fun' filled and deserves it's own post. The day started off well enough with fresh pumpkin cinnamon rolls for lunch and us being on time to church. However, just as the Sacrament hymn starts, I hear a pop sound and feel cold liquid. The lid to Porter's water bottle popped off and spilt all over the pew. I jump out of my seat with Porter in arms just in time to avoid being completely soaked. Bryan looks over and asks me why I'm acting like a weirdo. Then he notices the water. We both take off at the same time to get paper towels, but I see him leaving so I return to the soaked bench. Now, when I say the water spilled what really happened was a flood. Before the water soaked into the material, it managed to course it's way down to both ends of the bench. Luckily no one else was sitting there. It did however leak down the crack in back into the lady's purse behind us. Bryan spent most of the hymn trying to soak up the water using half a roll of paper towels he unsuspiciously snuck into the hall hidden in his suit coat. The rest of the meeting we sat on opposite ends of the long pew, because there was nothing dry inbetween. Then came the snacks. Porter was acting crazy so I offered him some grahm crackers. I did not know, however, that he already had carrots in his mouth. Of course the crackers looked better, so he did the best thing possible. Spit out an entire mouth full of fully chewed carrots. When he commenced eating the grahm crackers, he could not of course, eat them one bite at a time. He munched right through the middle of the cracker making tons of crumbs. During the rest hymn we stood up to sing. Then we looked around and Porter was gone. So Bryan spent the rest hymn chasing him around the other pews. These are just a few of the highlights, mixed in with other usual Sunday, climbing, poking and crying. Luckily for us we maintained a cheery attitude and were able to keep our laughter to an inaudible level(I think). Despite all of that the talks were very good and very uplifiting. Thank heaven for little boys and all the joys they bring.
